A Wise Investment

Solomon gives wise counsel for how to view your money. He thrice-repeats the phrase, "You do not know." As such, wisdom prepares for the unknowns of life, but also recognizes that preparation does not guarantee prosperity. This passage points to the words of Christ, who picking up on a similar theme states there is a way to be rich in this world that is not rich toward God. Therefore, what we do with our money, time, and skill has eternal implications.
