The God Who is Just (Part II)

In chapters 3-5 of the book of Micah, the prophet continues to deliver his message of God's judgment against Israel because of their great wickedness before God and man. Yet in the midst of this pronouncement of judgment comes a pronouncement of hope: the Lord will send His Messiah as the true and righteous Judge who will redeem His people, remove idolatry and corruption from their midst, and defeat all of Israel’s enemies. In other words, God’s punishment upon them is not the final word; He will restore them to an even greater stature than before under the forthcoming Lordship of Christ.
