Hope in God

Removed from the presence of God and surrounded by captors who mock him for his faith, the psalmist sinks deeper and deeper down into depression. While his soul melts away within him, he remembers God's faithfulness to His people, Israel. Despite the unending taunting of his enemies and the bleakness of his circumstances, despite even the battle over his own wavering heart, he continues to preach truth to himself: Hope in God, for I shall yet enter into the presence of my salvation and my God.
