The church in Philadelphia, one of two mentioned by Jesus Christ as being true and faithful. Here is a church patiently enduring and faithfully keeping the Word of God. The result is a wonderful promise of the Lord strengthening them and protecting them in the midst of hardship and tribulation. It serves as an encouragement.
